Vacation Trip To Rome

When you think about Rome, what do you think of? Everyone knows the stereotypical sights to see in Rome ; the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps and I know a lot of guides tell you to give these a miss, to dig 'beneath the surface' of tourist Rome, but I am concerned that we travelers are going to lose exactly what makes Rome ; its wonderful architecture and its beautiful monuments, these actually are the reasons we are going to Rome in the 1st place and we mustn't forget this. Read on if you need to rediscover the genuine gems of Rome as I know them, while staying in a Ferienwohnung Rom.

The truth is, Rome actually is everything it is cracked up to be and so much more... Known as the Eternal town with excellent reason, it's possible to find food at four in the morning, folk are still out enjoying themselves, eating, drinking and socializing in the city's bars and eateries. It's just the kind of place that you do not need to leave . Piazza Novona is perfect for finding bars and eateries and there's a surplus of Rome accommodation too.

What I find great about Rome is you can never feel alone, and the selection of Hotel Rom is astounding. There is just too much happening in the town. Take for instance the Trevi fountain. There are always folks swarming around this fountain whatever time of the year you choose to visit it. Magnificent to look at, the Trevi fountain is seriously a masterpiece and I'd even say it looks more electrifying at night than it does in the day. For all you romantics out there, the Trevi fountain is great to propose - plenty of folks do it right in front of the fountain in the square! The history behind the Trevi Fountain as far as I know is so ; The fountain at the juncture of three roads ( tre strive ) marks the terminal point of the "modern"Acqua Vergine, the revivified Aqua Virgo, one of the traditional aqueducts that supplied water to traditional Rome. In nineteen BC, allegedly with the assistance of a virgin, Roman technicians located a source of pure water some thirteen km ( eight miles ) from the town.

The coliseum is potentially my favourite place to visit in Rome. Centrally located with lots of Rome flats and Rome hotels nearby, the Coliseum is one of the most exciting places to go to, I certainly felt almost as near to experiencing Roman times as it is possible to get. What surprised me the first time I went to the Coliseum when I was just about ten was the belief that animals would've been rambling around underneath the coliseum in the cages and stables and then was brought up to the primary stage to rip some poor man to shreds. The Colosseum was initially capable of seating around fifty thousand spectators, and used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles. It remained in use for just about five hundred years with the last recorded games being held there as late as the 6th century.

No matter where you go in Rome this summer, make sure you go somewhere that you will not forget. It's fair enough if you like doing things like visiting a soap factory, or having a trip to the local water park, but trust me, you will not get the exciting feeling that you're experiencing a little bit of Roman history.
